Sony Mobile has announced the launch of Xperia ion in India at a price of Rs 36,999.
The Xperia ion runs Google Android 4.0 (ICS) OS. Powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, the phone has 16GB internal storage space. The phone offers microSD card support up to 32GB. It has 1GB RAM.12 MP rear camera and VGA front facing camera.
Other features include HSPA, EDGE/GPRS, Wi-Fi, HDMI support and Bluetooth v3.0.

Featuring a 9.4 inch (24 cm) screen and loaded with the Android 4.0 operating system, the Xperia is the second tablet from Sony, which released its first models in April last year
The Xperia tablet will retail in the US from Sept 7, costing $399 for a 16 gigabyte version and $599 for a 64 gigabyte model, the company said in a press release. Like Microsoft's device it is also available with a keyboard that doubles as a cover, for which consumers will be asked to pay an addition $99.99.
