Intex Aqua powered with a MediaTek's MT6592 octa-core chipset clocked at 1.7GHz, available for Rs. 19,999

Intex has finally launched its Octa Core handset and it priced for Rs 19,999 in India market. This handset is powered with a MediaTek's MT6592 octa-core chipset clocked at 1.7GHz. It runs on Android 4.2.2  Jelly Bean OS and has a RAM of 2 GB.

It has a screen of 6-inch with a resolution if 720x1280 pixels, HD OGS (One-Glass Solution) IPS display.
It has a a inbuilt memory of 16 GB which can be expanded further upto 32 GB using micro sd card. There is a 13MP rear camera with auto focus, LED flash and 5MP front camera. Its a dual sim handset and has features of 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS with A-GPS and Bluetooth. for connectivity. There are  accelerometer, proximity and light sensors.

This new handset is 7mm thick and weighs around 180 grams.It comes with a battery of 2300 mAh capacity.

The Intex Aqua octa core is listed on Snapdeal for Rs. 19,999. The specs looks pretty good for the price; there is the Gionee Elife E7 mini that will be competing with this handset.

What is MediaTek's MT6592 octa-core chipset and when was it launched ?

Taiwan based semiconductor giant Mediatek which provides SOS i.e system-on-chip solutions for smartphones, tablets, optical drives, digital televisions, set-top boxes, GPS units, Wi-Fi routers and Bluetooth devices has launched world’s first heterogeneous computing SOC with scalable eight-core processing for superior multi-tasking, industry-leading multimedia and excellent performance-per-watt and is to be claimed as "world's first true octa-core processor". This is named as MediaTek MT6592 which will bring a revolution in smartphone Industry.

In India, Intex has launched its new smart phone based on MediaTek MT6592 processor. Though company has not revealed the name and price of the new smart phone but has revealed the specs. Pricing of this new smart phone is expected to be less then Rs 20,000 in India.

So in 2014, we will see most of the brands coming up with new smartphone which will be powered with Octa Core processers and running on Android 4.4 KitKat OS, and most of the users would prefer to go for the same. Already few smartphone based on this processors have been launched.
