Xiaomi Redmi Note with octa core processor announced for $130 in China

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has launched its new handset Redmi Note in China for $130. Xiaomi Redmi Note is powered by a octa core processor. It get its power from MediaTek MT6592 chipset which is couple with Mali 450 GPU.

It features a 5.5 inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Handset runs on Android 4.2 and comes with dual sim support. It will be available in 2 different Octa core variants, The 1.4 GHz will cost $130 and 1.7 GHz will be priced at $160. The variant with 1.4GHz will come with RAM of 1GB while 1.7 GHz variant will come with RAM of 2 GB. Both these model will have inbuilt memory of 8GB and can be expanded upto 32 GB using micro SD card.

Xiaomi Redmi Note comes with a primary camera of 13 MP with LED flash and secondary one of 5MP. Primary camera supports Full HD recording. For connectivity handset offers features of 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.

Its packs a decent battery of 3200 mAh capacity. Handset will hit stores in China by end March, company has not reveled its plan to launch this handset outside China as on date. Major attraction of this handset is its attractive pricing.
