Google releases Play Edition Moto G in the US at $179 for 8GB variant and $199 for 16GB variant.

Google has added new smart phone Moto G to its Play edition line-up.Device is currently launched for US market and is priced for $ 179 for 8GB variant and $199 for 16GB variant. It is heard that soon Google will also list this handset in its Play store of Dubai and Australia.

Moto runs on latest Android 4.4 KitKat. Its a Dual sim handset and features a 4.5 inch HD display which delivers a resolution o 1280 x 720 pixels. It comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen. Moto G gets its power from Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor which is clocked at 1.2 GHz with Andreno 305 GPU. Its RAM is of 1GB.

Its primary camera is of 5 mega pixel which has LED flash feature while front one is of 1.3 megapixel resolution. Rear camera is capable of recording HD (720P) videos. Handset is water resistant with nano coasting on its inside and outside. Battery is powered with a 2070 mAh capacity battery, which company claim will deliver about 30% more talktime as compared to Apple's iPhone 5s.

Google acquired Motorola in 2012, since then this is Google's first big launch of Motorola brand smartphone. Till now Moto G has already earned lots of praise for this design, features and low price. The key attraction of this new handset is that t will runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat version.
