MediaTek reveled its CES 2014 Lineup, World’s Smallest chipset, LTE Modem and Mobile SOC Included

Taiwanese giant MediaTek, which is world's most popular chipset maker has announced its lineup for CES event, CES is the Consumer electronics show which will be held in Lag Vegas from 7th to 14th Jan 2014.

MediaTex's MT8135 which will come with two crotex A7 based cores and two Cortex A15 based cores which will be reveled at CES 2014 event. The GPU which is embedded in this chipset is PowerVR Series 6  GPU which is the same generation one which we saw in Apple's iPhone 5s.

Company will also showcase its MT6290 LTE Modem based on power efficient 28nm process. This model will support  LTE Cat- 4  which will offer 50Mbps downlink to users device.This new modem will be compatible with the existing MediaTex SOCs.
Experts believe that 2014 will be the year for smartwatches, hence MediaTex is also planning to launch the World's smallest chipset, Aster. Aster will be made for innumerable wearable gadgets.

Company has plan to introduce chipset which will be capable of decoding UHD HEVC encoded video at 60fbs, which will find its place in Smart TVs. MediaTex apart from announcing these chipsets lineup will also announce the chipsets for home automation, indoor positioning and World's first multimode inductive Qi and resonance wireless charging SOC.

Recently, MideaTex also announced its Octa Core chipset for smartphone and many companies has started launching its new handset based on this Chipset.

MediaTek MT6592 is claimed as "world's first true octa-core processor" and will bring a revolution in smartphone Industry.Smart phone running on this processor will not only be extremely powerful, but power-efficient as well. MediaTek MT6592 deliver premium gaming performance, advanced multi-tasking and enhanced web browsing for high-end smartphones and tablets.MT6592 is the first to use the power-efficient ARM Cortex-A7 processor in an octa-core configuration with the ARM Mali GPU.

The MT6592 has got 8 CPU cores, each capable of operating up to 2GHz, built on advanced 28nm HPM high-performance process. Thanks to the MediaTek scheduling algorithm, users will get optimum temperature monitoring and power consumption every single time. The MediaTek MT6592 features a quad-core graphics engine, an advance video playback system supporting Ultra-HD 4Kx2K H.264 video playback and support for new video codecs such as H.265 and VP9, a 16-megapixel camera and a Full HD display.Just Like other Mediatek chipsets, the MT6592 too will have an on-board modem for WiFi, GPS and FM.

Zopo has launched world's first smart phone which is powered with this processor and one can check the Zopo's website to book one.

In India, Intex has launched its new smart phone based on MediaTek MT6592 processor. This new model from Intex has been launched and is priced Rs 19,999.

So in 2014, we will see most of the brands coming up with new smartphone which will be powered with Octa Core processers and running on Android 4.4 KitKat OS, and most of the users would prefer to go for the same. Already few smartphone based on this processors have been launched.
