Chinese smartphone maker Gionee launched world's slimmest smartphone smartphone named as Gionee Elife S5.5 in China. It is just 5.5 inch in thickness.
It features 5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED plus screen. Its a single sim handset and is powered with 1.7GHz octa core processor. Handset runs on Android 4.2 OS ans comes with 2 GB RAM. It had inbult memory of 16 GB. It does not come with micro SD slot.
Phone dimension are 145.1 x 70.2 x 5.55mm. Primary camera is of 13 MP resolution and front camera is of 5 MP resolution. Both these camera come with auto focus. For connectivity, it features 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, FM radio, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It has a non removable battery of 2300 mAh,
It will be available in Purple, Black, White, Pink and Blue color options. Company plan's to launch the 4G version of this handset in June 2014. Handset is expected to hit Indian market in Q2 2014. It will also be displayed during 2014 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in the coming week from 24th to 28th February.
