Korean Giant, Samsung has revealed its Galaxy Camera 2 which is the successor of its earlier launched Android based Galaxy Camera. It is expected that Samsung will be showcasing this camera at CES in Las Vagas.
Galaxy Camera 2 is powered with a 1.6GHz quad-core processor and has a RAM of 2GB. It runs on Android 4.3 OS and has inbuilt memory of 8 GB which can be expanded up to 64 GB using micro SD card. It comes with a with a 16.3 effective megapixel 1/2.3-inch BSI CMOS sensor and 21x optical zoom.For connectivity it has options of Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC and Bluetooth.
Interestingly, there's no mention of 3G/ LTE connectivity, so one wonders if company has given up on having a SIM slot, which was earlier present in Galaxy Camera. Samsung did launch a cheaper, Wi-Fi only variant of the Galaxy Camera later, so the Galaxy Camera 2 follows on those footsteps. There's no word if Samsung will launch a Galaxy Camera 2 variant with cellular connectivity at a later date.

"The result is a more powerful and portable device which continues to embrace the public's passion for the social features of smartphones, yet also provides superior image control and quality."
Company has not disclosed the pricing and its availability details for this new gadget, but we expect it to be revealed at CES in Las Vegas.
